Maureen Butler

Maureen Butler | Executive Vice President, Vistra

As Vistra’s Executive Vice President, Maureen Butler is involved in all aspects of Vistra’s strategy, administration, operations and financial management. She served as CFO from the company’s founding in 2007 until 2016. Maureen was a key player in establishing Vistra’s administrative and financial operations including accounting, HR and contracting. Maureen’s experiences as a U.S. Army Finance Officer, staff accountant with a property management company and small CPA firm, and consultant to small businesses and nonprofits have enabled her to contribute to the growth and development of Vistra. Maureen spent four years as an Accounting Professor at the University of South Florida and nine years at The University of Tampa where she earned tenure prior to leaving academia to join Vistra full time in 2019. She is an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at The University of Tampa teaching Financial Management in their Nonprofit Management Program. She has published research in the areas of nonprofit management, defense contracting and outsourcing in the Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, the Journal of Business Research and the Journal of Accountancy. A Certified Public Accountant licensed in Florida and Virginia, Maureen holds a B.S. in Accounting from Syracuse University and a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville. She is a member of the Hillsborough Education Foundation Program Oversight Committee and a current instructor, former board member and former board treasurer of the Nonprofit Leadership Center.

Dr. Laura Cohen

Dr. Laura Cohen | Director of School Counseling Concentration in the College of Psychology, Nova Southeastern University

Dr. Laura Cohen is a seasoned educator, counselor, and academic leader with over 35 years of experience in the field of education. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Counselor Education and Supervision and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in School Counseling, both from Florida Atlantic University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Miami.

Dr. Cohen’s career spans a broad spectrum of roles, including classroom teacher, school counselor, and leadership positions at the school, district, and university levels. Her work has consistently reflected a deep commitment to student development, academic achievement, and the advancement of counseling practices in educational settings. Dr. Cohen now serves as the director of the School Counseling concentration in the College of Psychology at Nova Southeastern University.

 

Currently residing in Tampa, Florida, Dr. Cohen enjoys life with her husband, their two Siberian Huskies, and a lively pond of koi fish. She is the proud mother of three adult children and grandmother to two grandchildren.

William E. Grob Picture

Bill Grob focuses his practice exclusively on labor and employment law representing management. He has served as lead trial counsel in cases in federal and state courts, and has extensive experience as lead counsel in a variety of labor and employment matters, including numerous collective actions, involving wage/hour and overtime litigation, race discrimination, disability discrimination, leave issues and harassment. Much of Bill’s practice involves representing professional sports teams and organizations, theme parks, entertainment venues and organizations, metropolitan transit organizations, staffing companies, manufacturers, healthcare companies, restaurants, and employee leasing companies. Bill also regularly enforces and defends non-compete covenants, litigates trade secret matters, including obtaining injunctions and TROs, and handles employment issues across the country. Bill serves as the Co-Chair of the firm’s Sports and Entertainment Practice Group, coordinating efforts and resources with attorneys across the country to serve clients more effectively and efficiently. Bill has also been a featured speaker at numerous employment and education law-related seminars for managers and organizations throughout Florida and the Southeast.

Bill also enjoys serving the legal and local community.  In 2018, Bill was asked to serve as one of the only out of state members of the Georgia State University College of Law Board of Visitors, and continues to serve in that capacity.  Since 2019, Bill has served on the Advisory Board of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay, serving children in need of medical care throughout the Tampa Bay Area.  Bill currently serves as Legislative Chair for the Board of Suncoast HR Management Association. Bill formerly served as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Polk Theatre in Lakeland, was past Legislative Director for HR Tampa, and is the former Co-Chair of the Labor & Employment Section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association.

Bill is also a past recipient of the CareerSource Polk Workforce Champion Award — presented for improving the quality of workforce services in Central Florida. Bill has also been recognized for multiple workshops he and his team have presented to community business leaders on topics including wage and hour and overtime litigation, race and disability discrimination, leave issues, harassment issues and more.

Before graduating from high school, Bill worked with his father in the family business involving the sales and reconditioning of athletic equipment. After college, Bill worked in human resource management and business operations for approximately five years. During law school he served as a law clerk for the Georgia Supreme Court and Georgia Court of Appeals, and he worked in the labor and employment section of the United States Department of Health and Human Services Regional Office of General Counsel in Atlanta.

Mallamy Camargo Pena

Mallamy Camergo Pena | Board Certified Behavior Analyst,Florida Autism Center

Mallamy Camergo Pena is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities achieve personal behavioral goals that promote independence. Born in Mexico and raised in Florida from the age of four, Mallamy holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of South Florida. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys drawing, reading, and spending time outdoors.

Laurie Hill | Collaborative Labs at St. Petersburg College (SPC)

Laurie joined the Collaborative Labs in January of 2016 and leverages her extensive marketing and business management experience to help match clients to the Collaborative Labs products and services.

Laurie has worked in marketing and sales for more than 35 years in both the secular and faith-based workplace. Her work has encompassed marketing for multiple industries within the healthcare field in the Tampa Bay area as well as ownership of multiple small businesses. Laurie excels in using her business acumen and active listening skills to demonstrate the possible outcomes a client can achieve to reach their organizational goals. She is the founder of the Christian Chamber of Commerce in the Tampa Bay area and authored the book I Am in Business.
